The Gateway to Educational Materials (GEM)
GEM is a project of the U.S. Department of Education and
is a special project of the ERIC Clearinghouse on
Information & Technology. It is designed to provide
educators with quick and easy access to the substantial,
but uncataloged, collections of educational materials
found on various federal, state, university, non-profit,
and commercial Internet sites.

personalized Internet-based service providing education
information to teachers, librarians, counselors,

service, lesson plans, and access to a wide range of
